The operative finding of a black (necrotic) testis:

 Although the necrotic testis would probably spontaneously be resorbed, orchiectomy (excision) is done for medical legal reasons and to avoid the theoretical possibility of anti testicular antibody production affecting the remaining normal testis.

 

The normal testis is pexed i.e. fixed in its scrotal position to prevent future torsion.
