Theodor Ehrenpreis
The more modern descriptions of this disease
follow the work of Dr. Theodore Ehrenpreis.His father was the Chief Rabbi of
Stockholm and acted as Herzl’s secretary at the First Zionist Congress,
because of this Ehrenpreis’ first name was Theodore. Ehrenpreis wrote his
doctorate thesis on a patient with Hirschsprung’s Disease in 1945.
His conclusion was this was a condition, which presented and could be
diagnosed in the newborn.
