ileus has dramatically altered due to the following factors:
1.
Early diagnosis
2.
The success of enemas containing radiopaque material that liquefies the
meconium.
3.
Early operation in patients who are complicated.
4.
The advent of neonatal intensive care units.
5.
Intravenous feeding.
6.
Improved respiratory and metabolic management of patients with Cystic
Fibrosis.
